Amenities: Lush tropical landscape can be enjoyed throughout the property. For those guests who bring their boat, our deep-water dockage and boat ramp is right on Florida Bay.
Relax in our freshwater, heated pool or beside our private grotto that is stocked with game fish, tarpon and tropical fish. We invite our guests to swim with these friendly fish, feed them or take pictures but you can't fish for our fish.

Key Largo Hammocks State Botanical Site Route 905 at MM 106 bayside. Conservationists years ago rescued this nature preserve from development. It is home to numerous endangered species; guided walks are offered by contacting Pennekamp Park at (305) 451-1202

The Gallery at Kona Kai The works of noted Florida watercolorist Gregory Sobran and black-and-white photographs captured by landscape photographer Clyde Butcher highlight this gallery's exhibit. The Florida Keys Wild Bird Center MM 93.6 bayside. The primary purpose of the center is the rescue, rehabilitation and release of ill, injured and orphaned wild birds. A boardwalk winds through cages that are home to wild hawks, ospreys, spoonbills, egrets and more. Some are here to recuperate and will later be released; others are unable to survive in the wild on their own and have become lifelong inhabitants. Contact (305) 852-4486.
Harry Harris Park Off Burton Drive at MM 92.5 oceanside. This waterfront park offers beach, playground, sports field, and picnic grounds.
Directions: From Miami International Airport: When leaving the airport, get in the far right lane. Take the far right exit, marked "LeJeune Road/836 West Coral Gables." Continue to stay in the far right lane as you exit onto LeJeune Road. Take the right lane of LeJeune Road just over a half mile, going through two stoplights. Watch for right-hand entrance marked "836 west." Take 836 west, the ramp is on the right. Stay on 836 west until you reach the Florida Turnpike south, 8.3 miles. Exit onto the Florida Turnpike south and continue until the turnpike ends, approximately 25 miles. The turnpike empties onto U.S. Highway 1 in Florida City, at the entrance to the Florida Keys. Stay on U.S. Highway 1, heading south until you reach Islamorada. Kon Tiki Resort is located at mile marker 81 on the right hand side of the road (gulf side).
From Ft. Lauderdale International Airport: Follow signs from airport ground to 595 West. Continue on 595 West to the Florida Turnpike South (Exit 54) and continue on it until the turnpike ends. The turnpike empties into US Hwy 1 South in Florida City at the entrance to the Keys. Stay on US Hwy 1 South. Kon Tiki Resort is located at mile marker 81 on the right hand side of the road (gulf side).
